· Meeting started at 11:00am on the phone conference bridge

· Members Present: Phil Shelley (JHHS), Bob Dooley (ULH), Kevin Shively (UofL), Hans Fiedler (UofL), Dave Cox (UofL)

· Others Present: Dave Carty (Gateway Communications), Technical Personnel from Cabletron

1.)  This meeting’s purpose was to connect JHHS to the LAMC Data Network via one ATM PVC to UofL. The PVC will be used to carry JHHS’s TCP/IP traffic to  the LAMC network

2.)  A secondary SVC would be connected through LAMC directly between JHHS and ULH to carry their SNA traffic (SMS). Once UofL defined the SVC on the LAMC network, it was up to JHHS (by way of their vendor, Cabletron) and ULH (by way of their vendor, Gateway Communications) to get the traffic talking between.

3.)  The PVC was up and stable by noon and the SVC shortly thereafter.

4.)  The traffic between the two entities was suffering instability problems and it was decided that further research would have to be done by Cabletron and Gateway Communications. JHHS and ULH would work together to get this link working to allow them to replace a costly T-1 that was already carrying the SNA traffic.
